EVERY DIRECTOR CATCH 22
It's not really how you shoot.... what style... only what you are shooting... That's a rule number one for every new director in any stage of their development... It's to know what he wants not how to get what he wants only know it.. what you want...
I kind of... finally trying to get to that point where I'm focused on what I want to tell and show.. later how...
Got to say Robert MC Kee still is a very big influence for that and dear Steven Even Spielberg...
A lot of this new directors are forced to get a new ideas for how to shoot in order to break an unhealthy competition between them. New ideas of how to shoot are very important for every treatment to get the project .. or the funds... for film music video or commercial.. So we using examples taking out from internet world... and basically copied them for them to understand our vision and style of shooting...
So here we are... DIRECTOR'S CATCH 22... If we cannot tell them WHAT to shoot.. Because sometimes this are finished script projects... and we can explain HOW to shoot only with the examples of existing material so HOW THE FUCK CAN WE DO SOMETHING Unique PERSONAL AND NEW?
I know .. they can say that everything was done already... but the idea of that new path... would give a director more confidence in reality of world unknown.. and that what I miss the most since I become a professional...
So from today I'm also an amateur...
